Which 3D printing process do you need?

Start with what matters most for your part. If two apply, send us the CAD and we’ll confirm.

Need it big? (over 380 mm)

Go FDM — large-format up to 500 × 500 × 900 mm in one piece, or split and bonded beyond that.

Need hundreds of identical parts?

Go MJF — production volume with injection-mould economics; cost per part drops as the bed fills.

Need functional nylon parts?

Go SLS — the all-round route for complex geometry with no supports, prototype to production.

Need the finest detail or surface?

Go SLA — the smoothest surface we print, plus clear, ESD-safe and flame-retardant resins.

Need clear, ESD or flame-retardant?

Go SLA — specialty resins for optical, static-safe and UL94 V0 flame-rated parts.

Need stiffness or heat resistance?

Carbon- and glass-filled grades run on both SLS and FDM — tell us the load and the temperature and we’ll pick the grade.

Need a flexible part?

TPU runs on SLS at Shore 90A and on MJF as TPU 01 at Shore A 88-90, with a flexible 80A resin available on SLA.

What 3D printing services do you offer?
RYSE 3D offers four production 3D printing technologies under one roof: SLS (Selective Laser Sintering), MJF (Multi Jet Fusion), FDM (large-format, up to 500 x 500 x 900 mm) and SLA (resin printing). All are printed, finished and inspected at our own ISO 9001 facility in the UK, from a single prototype to production volume.
Which 3D printing process should I choose?
As a rough guide: choose FDM for big, rigid parts up to 900 mm; MJF for hundreds of identical end-use parts at the lowest cost per part; SLS for functional nylon parts with complex geometry and no supports; and SLA for the smoothest surface, finest detail, or clear, ESD and flame-retardant parts. What is the difference between SLS, MJF, FDM and SLA?
SLS and MJF both fuse nylon powder with no supports - SLS has the widest material range including glass-filled and carbon-filled grades, MJF is tuned for repeatable production volume across a full bed. FDM extrudes engineering filament for large, rigid parts up to 900 mm. SLA laser-cures resin for the smoothest surface and finest detail. Send the CAD and we will advise which fits.
How big can a 3D printed part be?
Up to 500 x 500 x 900 mm in one piece on large-format FDM. SLS runs 165 x 165 x 300 mm as standard and 490 x 490 x 740 mm in PA12-CF, MJF runs 380 x 284 x 380 mm, and SLA runs 353 x 196 x 350 mm. Bigger than any single envelope and we split, print, bond and inspect the assembly.
Do you offer a 3D printing service near me in the UK?

How fast is your 3D printing service?
Lead time depends on the process: FDM and SLA offer next-day and express turnaround on many parts, SLS runs express 1-3 working day options, and MJF production typically takes 5-7 working days. Your lead time is confirmed at quote.
What finishing do you offer?
Bead blasting, dyeing, vapour smoothing, vibratory polishing, painting and assembly - all done in-house, so there is no second supplier and no extra week in the schedule. Finishing options vary by process and are confirmed with your quote.
Do you offer trade accounts?
Yes. Regular buyers get a trade account with a dedicated account manager, part history held on the account so repeat orders do not need re-quoting, and volume pricing that scales up to 100,000 parts.
