Certified
Independently certified by BSI under UKAS accreditation. The registered scope is the design, supply and production of 3D printed parts — not a partial or site-limited certification.
In practice it means the process that made your first batch is the documented process that makes the next one, which is what matters when you are ordering repeats months apart.
Approved
Production Part Approval Process approval to automotive standards, for programmes that need documented, repeatable process control rather than a certificate of conformity alone.
This is the credential that lets us sit inside a vehicle programme supply chain rather than alongside it. Tell us at quote which PPAP level the programme requires and we will confirm what we can submit.
Certified
Certified against the Cyber Essentials scheme across the whole organisation, covering how we handle customer CAD data and intellectual property. Your files stay inside our own systems and nothing is brokered out.
Much of our automotive work runs under confidentiality agreements we still honour years later. If you need an NDA in place before sending anything, say so and we will arrange it first.

Awarded for our approach to large-scale additive manufacturing and the technology behind it, including LANDR 500, the large-format FDM platform we engineered and built in-house rather than bought in.
The King’s Award is the highest official UK business honour, assessed on evidence rather than application alone. We were also named Engineering Innovator of the Year in the same year.

Certificates are issued to Ryse 3D Ltd, Unit 1 Europipes Estate, Tilemans Lane, Shipston-on-Stour, CV36 4HP. The ISO 9001 registration can be validated at any time through the BSI Client Directory, and the Cyber Essentials certificate carries a QR code that verifies it against the IASME register. Alongside these we operate PPAP level 1–4 approved production processes — ask us and we will supply the documentation pack for your programme.
A certificate on a wall is a claim. This is the sequence every part goes through.
Free with every quote. An engineer checks wall thickness, drain holes, clearances, orientation and grade suitability against your geometry, and tells you what we would change. Catching a problem here costs nothing; catching it after a build costs a build.
We confirm scale, units and geometry integrity, and check the grade against what the part has to do. Material is dried where the process requires it, and powder is managed build to build so properties stay consistent across repeat orders.
Orientation is set deliberately, not by default — against your load path on FDM, against your critical bores and show faces on the powder processes. Where you have flagged a tight fit, machining stock is allowed at this stage rather than discovered later.
Over 100 machines across SLS, MJF, FDM and SLA in a single 8,000 sq ft facility. Nothing is offshored and nothing is subcontracted, so the conditions your first batch was made under are the conditions the next one is made under.
Depowdering, bead blasting, vibratory polishing, vapour smoothing, dyeing, A-class paint, threaded inserts and assembly all happen on our own finishing floor — so the part is never handed to a third party mid-process.
Parts are checked before they ship, not after they arrive. Where you have identified critical dimensions, those are the features inspected and reported — not a general sample that happens to miss the fit you cared about. Full detail on tolerances and accuracy.
Standard tolerance: ±0.3 mm up to 100 mm.
Beyond that, ±0.3 mm for the first 100 mm plus a further ±0.1% for every 100 mm thereafter.
Published up front rather than buried in terms, because it is the question buyers most need answered and the one bureaux are most evasive about. Tighter fits — bearing seats, sealing faces, precise bores — are achieved by printing near-net and machining the critical features, which is the honest route rather than promising a tolerance the process will not repeat. Every bureau lists its certifications. Fewer list the ones they do not have, which is the information you actually need when you are qualifying a supplier.
We produce parts used in aerospace and UAV applications, but we do not hold the aerospace quality standard. If your programme requires AS9100 accreditation from the supplier, we are not the right fit and we will say so at enquiry rather than at audit.
We print prosthetic and orthotic components and medical-adjacent hardware, but we do not hold the medical device quality standard. Anything requiring a regulated medical device supply chain needs a different route.
Property data on our datasheets originates from the manufacturer’s technical data sheet for each grade. We reproduce it with the test method stated rather than presenting it as our own test programme.
They come from standard test specimens, not your geometry. For anything load-bearing or safety-related, test the actual part. We will say this every time rather than let a number do work it cannot support.
A UL 94 rating applies at the thickness it was tested at, not to every wall on your part. Our SLA flame-retardant resin is V-0 at 3 mm, V-1 at 2.5 mm and HB at 1.5 mm — design to the thickness you need the rating at.
Fibre-reinforced nylon covers a great many load-bearing brackets, housings and ducts. It does not replace steel or aluminium where the safety case demands metal, and we will tell you when that is the answer.
