We exist to transform traditional manufacturing through industrial 3D printing — giving engineers and businesses the power to design and build better, lighter, faster products without the limits of tooling or long lead times.

We believe additive manufacturing should be the primary standard for production, not just prototyping: a sustainable, scalable and cost-effective way to build parts for every industry, from aerospace to automotive and beyond.

Our story

From a garage with one 3D printer to a UK production facility

RYSE 3D started in 2017 in a garage, with a single homemade 3D printer and a bet that additive manufacturing could hold to production tolerances, not just preview a part before someone else built it properly. Early jobs were 3D printed car models for university friends. What followed was rapid, deliberate growth — automotive and motorsport manufacturers, many under confidentiality we still honour today, began trusting us with parts that had to survive the road: brake ducts, HVAC systems, brackets, wing mirror vision systems.

We built the team the same way we built the business — on potential rather than pedigree. Shipston-on-Stour is close to Silverstone and Brackley, motorsport country, but it is not a traditional manufacturing hub, so recruitment has meant looking in unlikely places. Some of our best engineers started behind a coffee machine or on a fast food counter and were trained up from there. It is a slower way to build a team than poaching CVs, and it is why the culture here still feels like the garage it started in, even at production scale.

The garage is long gone. We now run over 100 3D printers from an 8,000 sq ft facility in Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire, with 2.5 million parts in service across 25+ vehicle programmes. Some of that growth has been reinvested directly: into new printers, materials R&D, and the development of LANDR 500, our own large-format FDM printer, engineered and built in-house in the UK rather than bought in — the machine behind our 500 × 500 × 900 mm FDM service.

The recognition followed the work. In 2024 we won the King’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation. In 2026 we won a second, for International Trade, recognising export growth into markets including the US, Denmark and Latvia. Alongside both, we hold ISO 9001 and Cyber Essentials certification — the less headline-grabbing kind of recognition, earned by the quality system and data security behind every part we ship.

We are still the same team that started in a garage in 2017. We have just got much better at what we do.

Repeatable end-use polymer parts in PA 12, PA 11 Gen2 and TPU 01, up to 380 × 284 × 380 mm, with a fine surface finish and consistent mechanical performance. MJF service →

Sustainability

Manufacturing built for a smarter future

Additive manufacturing is inherently leaner than traditional production — no tooling to cast aside, no minimum run to overproduce against, material used only where the part needs it. We build on that with material choices that lower impact further.

We print in bio-based PA11 and use recycled polymer pellets where the application allows, giving customers a lower-impact option without stepping down on industrial-grade performance. It is part of a wider commitment to reducing waste, improving efficiency and supporting circular manufacturing across our process.
