Delivered as a finished unit, not a box of parts

Most bureaux hand back a bag of components and leave the assembly to you. That means another supplier, another lead time, and the risk that parts made to fit on screen do not quite fit on the bench. We close that gap by finishing the job: the parts we print and finish, we also build.

Our assembly covers the full picture — mechanical assembly of printed and bought-in parts, bonding and adhesives for joints and seals, and electronics and wiring integration where a part becomes a working device. One team takes it from CAD to a unit that is ready to fit or ship.

From two parts to a working device

Mechanical assembly

Printed and machined parts brought together with fasteners, threaded inserts, bonded fixings and bought-in hardware into a complete, correctly torqued assembly.

Bonding & adhesives

Load-bearing bonding, sealing and joining where a fastener is wrong or invisible joints are needed — including bonding parts too large to print in one piece.

Electronics & wiring integration

Fitting boards, looms, connectors and components into printed housings and enclosures, so a part arrives as a functioning device rather than an empty shell.

Fasteners & hardware

Inserts, studs, captive nuts, seals, bearings and off-the-shelf components sourced and fitted as part of the build.

Multi-part & oversized builds

Components split for printing then bonded and aligned back into a single large assembly, inspected as one unit.

Honest limits

What to know before you brief us

Design for assembly first

A part that is awkward to reach, wire or fasten costs time to build. Tell us it is being assembled at quote and we will design the access in — that review is free.

Certified & regulated builds

We assemble to your specification and inspect to ISO 9001, but safety-certified or regulated electronic assemblies may need approvals we should discuss up front rather than assume.

We are not a contract electronics manufacturer

We integrate boards, looms and components into parts; we do not populate PCBs. Supply the electronics or tell us what you need sourced, and we will fit and wire them.

Bonded joints have limits

A bonded joint is strong but is not a weld. For a bonded oversized assembly under real load, tell us the loads so we can plan the joint — or advise a different split.

Assembly adds lead time

A built unit takes longer than loose parts, and electronics integration longer again. Give us the deadline with the brief and we will tell you what is achievable.

Bought-in parts set the pace

Where a build waits on sourced hardware or your supplied components, the assembly can only move as fast as they arrive. Send them early or tell us what to order.

Do you assemble 3D printed parts into finished units?
Yes. We build the parts we print and finish into complete, working assemblies — mechanical assembly with fasteners and hardware, bonding and sealing, and electronics and wiring integration. Parts are delivered ready to fit or ship rather than as a box of components for you to build.
What does your assembly service cover?
Three things: mechanical assembly of printed, machined and bought-in parts; bonding and adhesives for joints, seals and oversized parts split for printing; and electronics integration — fitting boards, looms, connectors and components into printed housings. We also source the fasteners, seals, bearings and off-the-shelf hardware a build needs.
Can you integrate electronics into printed housings?
Yes. We fit boards, wiring looms, connectors and components into printed enclosures and housings so the part arrives as a functioning device. We integrate supplied electronics rather than manufacturing the boards themselves — tell us what needs fitting or sourcing and we will build it in.
Can you assemble parts printed elsewhere?
In most cases, yes, subject to seeing the parts and the build. Send us the details — the components, the hardware and what the finished unit needs to do — and we will confirm before you ship anything.
Do you handle production-volume assembly?
Yes. We assemble one-off builds and production batches, with every unit built to the same standard and inspected the same way, which is where in-house assembly earns its place over a separate assembler on a repeat order.
Can you bond parts that are too big to print in one piece?
Yes. Oversized components are split for printing, then bonded and aligned back into a single assembly and inspected as one unit. Tell us the loads the joint will see and we will plan the split and the bond around them.
Will you help design a part for easier assembly?
Yes, and it saves you money. If we know a part is being assembled, we review access for tools, fastener and insert placement, wiring routes and snap-fit design free with your quote, and flag anything awkward before the parts are printed.
How do I get an assembly quote?
Assembly is quoted per project, so get in touch with the components, the hardware and what the finished unit needs to do. We print, finish, fix and assemble in-house in Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire, and ship UK-wide.
