Sample request FAQ

Are material samples really free?
Yes, completely free, with no catch and no obligation to order. Tick whichever packs you want to see and we will post them out.
Is there a limit on how many samples I can request?
No. Request one pack or all four, and come back for more later if your project changes — there is no cap per company.
What is in each sample pack?
Each pack covers the grades we run on that process. SLS: PA12, PA11, glass- and carbon-filled nylons and flexible TPU 90A. FDM: carbon- and glass-filled nylons plus high-temperature and flame-retardant grades. SLA: resin grades including clear, ESD-safe and flame-retardant. MJF: PA 12, bio-based PA 11 Gen2 and flexible TPU 01. Pick all four to compare the processes side by side.
Can I request a specific grade rather than a whole pack?
Yes. Tick the process the grade belongs to and name it in the notes box, and we will put that piece in. If you are not sure which grade you need, describe the application instead and we will choose a shortlist for you.
Do the samples show finishing as well as material?
Yes. The packs include finished pieces showing shot blast polishing, A-class paint, vapour smoothing and vibro polishing, so you can judge the surface as well as the base material.
How long does delivery take?
Samples are packed and posted from our Shipston-on-Stour facility and typically dispatched within a few working days of your request. If your project has a tight deadline, mention it in the notes and we will do what we can to prioritise it.
Do you ship samples outside the UK?
Our standard free sample service covers UK delivery. For international requests, get in touch via the contact page and we will confirm options.
I don't know which material I need — can you help?
Yes. Add a note about the application, load and environment when you request samples, and our team will suggest a shortlist worth trying rather than leaving you to guess from a list of grade codes. Design review is free with every quote too.
What happens after I get my samples?
